Overview & Context
In 2021–2022, NFT was at the height of its cultural moment. For a brief but intense period, digital art and collectibles were a genuine phenomenon — and one of the most-searched terms on Fiverr was NFT. People were coming to Fiverr specifically to commission illustrations, art series, and other digital work to mint as NFTs.
Fiverr was already home to thousands of talented creators producing exactly what the NFT market wanted. The question was whether Fiverr could do more than just host those services in the standard search results — whether it could build a dedicated space that matched the moment.
The Idea
The concept was a side marketplace called Fiverare: a curated destination inside Fiverr where NFT-related services and digital artworks could be surfaced with the kind of presentation they deserved — not buried in search results alongside unrelated categories, but showcased front-and-center with an emphasis on the visual quality and the commercial opportunity for creators.
The scope went further than a filtered browse experience. Fiverare was also intended to support minting directly from the platform — so a buyer could go from discovering a piece of art, commissioning it from a Fiverr seller, and minting it as an NFT without leaving the Fiverr ecosystem.
This was a concept initiative. No AI tools existed at that scale yet — all the artwork in the experience was designed and sourced manually, representative of what real Fiverr creators were producing.
The Design
The design covered three core screens: the homepage, the browse/collection view, and the individual item detail page.
Outcome
Fiverare was a prototype — it never became a live product. The NFT moment passed quickly, and so did the window for the concept. But as an exploration it demonstrated how Fiverr’s existing creator supply could be repositioned into an entirely different kind of marketplace with a distinct brand identity, and it was an interesting exercise in designing for a category that didn’t have an established visual language yet.
